Audibly Offensive

Right now, you’re probably looking at this fledgling little website and thinking “My God. What have I gotten myself into?”

You’re not alone. I’m wondering the same thing about myself.

Over the last few years, I’ve developed a reputation on the campus of my school, Jacksonville State University, as being one of the most (if not the most) opinionated sports fan around. Let’s face it, when you’ve been covering sports for the better part of the last five years, you tend to learn a lot.

I’ve been toying with the idea of starting my own sports site for quite some time now. No restrictions. No egos trying to tell me what I can and can’t write. No more being forced to write about something that no one cares about. This is our world. This is our domain.

This is a place where you won’t hear a constant positive spin being put on everything. This isn’t a place that is meant to show everything in a “positive light.” Let’s face it, not everything in sports is positive (unless you’re talking about Barry Bonds’ drug tests).

Over the next few days, weeks, months and years to come, you’ll get my opinion, as well as those of my colleagues, on everything going on in the world that we love.

You’ll also get my views (or theories as I call them) on my own special classifications of sports. If you’ve heard of Bill Simmons’ “Ewing Theory,” then you know that I mean. If not, go read.

You name it, we’ll probably talk about it.

Grab a seat and strap yourselves in. This storm has been brewing for a while and now it’s time to go to work.
